Two columns, and a price only where there is one
The nearby feed on the same build, standing in Denpasar. Two tiles across, the date and the distance on top, and the price only where the box office published one.
- Distance 23.6 km
- Measured from where the phone says it is, or from the city set by hand in Settings. The app explains itself and asks before it uses the first one.
- Price ≈ CA$23.87
- The box office price converted into your currency. The ≈ is the mark of a conversion: choose Venue currency in Settings and the same tile prints the rupiah the venue actually charges.
- More than one price ≈ CA$159.13 – CA$477.40
- Top tile on the right. Where a night lists several ticket prices the tile shows the lowest and the highest, converted the same way.
- No price none in this capture
- Every tile in this picture carries a price. When the source publishes nothing for a night, the tile says "Price TBA" instead of guessing, and it still links straight to the box office.
- Bali rather than London a fact about the data
- Megatix publishes prices for the venues it covers in Indonesia; Ticketmaster mostly does not. A London capture would be a column of "Price TBA" — honest, and a demonstration of nothing.
Where our data comes from
Every ticket link opens the seller’s own page and names it, and where our coverage is thin the app says which sources it is answering from. We would rather show you a short list we can stand behind than a long one we cannot.
Ticketing
Ticket links resolve to the box office actually selling the show — Ticketmaster, Ticketweb, Universe, Front Gate and others — and we name it on the link. Showpass covers independent venues in Canada, Shotgun the club and festival circuit across ten countries in Europe and the Americas, and Megatix club nights at a fixed list of venues in Bali, Thailand and Australia. We list a source here only once it returns real events, and not before.

The rest of the app, captured from the same build: what a band played last time, artist search, and the two settings everything else follows from.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Every ticket link goes to the seller's own page, and the seller is named on the link. The sellers are the ones listed under “Where our data comes from” below: Ticketmaster Discovery and the box offices it resolves to — Ticketweb, Universe, Front Gate and others — plus Showpass, Shotgun and Megatix. Where a source can carry resale listings we say so: Ticketmaster marks them and the app prints Resale beside the price rather than presenting it as a box-office one, and any Showpass listing whose link leaves showpass.com is dropped before you ever see it. Note that most listings carry no published price at the point we read them; when there is no price we say so instead of estimating one.
We ask Travelpayouts for fares between your airport and the venue’s — for each, the nearest one or a main airport a little further out — around the date of the show. When the venue’s airport is a small one with no fares near that date, and we are already holding a fare to a larger airport within reach, we price to that one instead — and the transfer row then carries the distance you would still have to cover. Where the venue sits on a big airport, “no fare near your date” is an honest answer about the date, and we give it rather than reroute you to another city. We cache the answer for twelve hours. If a later refresh fails we keep serving the held figure rather than showing nothing, for up to three days more — so a fare is hours old in the ordinary case and can be older when the airline data is not answering. It is never live. It is converted into your currency using the European Central Bank's daily reference rates — published on business days, so the rate behind a figure is the most recent one we hold and can be up to a week old. The app names the day it used. Ground transfers are left out of the total and carry a distance; where the app offers it, a tap on the transfer row can show GetTransfer’s minimum price, marked “from”, which may differ from the final price and is never added to the total. Accommodation is not included and is shown as missing rather than guessed.
Ticketmaster is the widest source and is strongest across North America, the UK and Europe. Where it is thin — club nights and independent promoters — three narrower sources fill in: Showpass for independent venues in Canada, Shotgun for the club and festival circuit in France, Brazil, the United States, Portugal, Spain, Germany, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg, and Megatix for club venues in Indonesia, Thailand and Australia. They are not equally wide, and the app does not pretend they are: Showpass reaches across Canada, Shotgun across those ten countries, while Megatix covers a fixed list of venues — the clubs of Bali, the Thai islands, Bangkok and a few Australian rooms — rather than those three countries as a whole. Past shows and setlists come from setlist.fm and MusicBrainz and reach much further. Where our coverage is partial the app names the sources it is answering from, and where we have no coverage at all it says so rather than showing an empty list and letting you assume the artist is not touring.
